How Do I Get Involved?

Monday, March 21, 2016

The National Council of Social Security Management Association (NCSSMA) members have extensive experience in field operations as supervisors and managers in the field offices and teleservice centers.  NCSSMA members truly believe in SSA’s mission and have an active voice in this mission.  Being an active member means offering leadership when the association needs you most, presenting ideas and suggestions that result in productive change, and making your voice heard by agency executives.

By now, you may be wondering how you can be actively involved.  The answer is, join a committee!  We have committees covering automation, disability, communications, innovation, legislative issues and grassroots, labor-management relations, management, management structure, membership, service delivery, staffing and training, T2 operations, T16 operations and teleservice service.  Each of the committees work to address the various resolutions that were passed at the annual meeting, provide comment on proposed administrative, policy and programmatic changes, and help craft the messages NCSSMA relays to agency executives and others.

Becoming an active member of NCSSMA is a great way to support our agency and fellow management officials.
